I chose to depict turtles on the sand to highlight the joy and play that happens at the beach even when you’re out of the water. Watching baby turtles scurry across the sand toward the ocean is such a sacred, special moment, and it mirrors the way children create core memories playing on the sand with their families. I included a ‘turtle egg’ motif alongside the animal to symbolise their journey from sand to sea, much like how kids move from running and laughing on the shore to swimming and thriving in the water.
