I chose to feature jellyfish in this design because they’ve always been part of my childhood memories, spotting them while swimming at the beach with friends, or finding them along the shore and in rock pools during family camping trips on the NSW coast. I used bright pinks, purples, oranges and blues to capture the thrill of seeing a colourful jellyfish and to evoke that same rush of excitement you feel splashing in the waves as a kid. Surrounded by vibrant coral and meeting place symbols, this piece celebrates the importance of imagination and curiosity.
